Virginia Nell Crouse

Virginia Nell Crouse, 87, of Longview, Washington, passed away at home on the morning of Sunday, June 4, 2023, with family by her side.

She was born October 25, 1935, to George A. and Lydia L. (Noggle) Williams in Windom, Kansas. She attended the local schools there and graduated from Windom High School at the age of 17. She married Robert Theodore Crouse in 1954.

Virginia worked for many years as a secretary at Airtherm Corporation in Longview. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. After retirement, she dedicated all her time to creating a warm, loving and fun place for her grandchildren to play, which was her greatest joy in life. She was truly “grandma extraordinaire.”

She is survived by her four children, Brad Crouse, Lori (Steve Olson) Crouse, Kim (Steve) Rambo, and Bill Crouse; her four grandsons, Brandon Rambo, Tyler Rambo, Connor Crouse and Tanner (Myranda) Crouse; as well as many friends and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her three brothers, George, Gerald and Robert Williams; and five sisters, Alberta Hood, Venita Cogdill, Ruby Preaus, Opal Parks and Lu Achilles Wall.

A graveside service will be held on September 1, 2023, at Mount Solo Cemetery in Longview, Washington.
