Patricia Ann Curtis
June 21, 1939 – December 8, 2018
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I shall dwell in the House of the LORD forever."
Psalm 23:6

Pat most recently struggled with further ill health in these Fall months and in mid-November was diagnosed with advancing lung cancer. She moved into hospice care on November 23, 2018 and rapidly declined. Pat passed into eternal life very early the morning of December 8, 2018, and is now rejoined with her husband, Leo, who preceded her into eternal life on April 13, 2017.
Pat & Leo were reunited in December 1979 when she returned to East Boston after raising her daughters in Southern California. During her years in California, Pat worked as an electronics technician and assembly line leader at StacoSwitch, Inc. While Pat & Leo lived in East Boston, she worked at Boston Acoustics until her retirement in 2001. At that time, Pat, Leo, Noel, their beloved long-hair dachshund, and their six birdies, moved to Vancouver, Washington to be closer to her daughter Barbara and family. During her retirement years, Pat & Leo enjoyed their aviary, which grew to 12 birds. Pat also enjoyed crocheting afghans & hats for many dear people in her life, always sent timely birthday cards & notes of encouragement, discussed daily horoscopes, and expressed concern for those who looked after hers and Leo's health care needs in their past few years at Arbor Ridge Assisted Living.
Mourning the loss of their Mommie, Grammy, Sister, and Aunt are her elder daughter and son-in-law, Barbara & Mark Okel; granddaughter, Kaitee Okel; grandson, Erik Okel; younger daughter, Debra Broadbent; three brothers, Jackson Clark, Barry L. Clark, Kenneth N. Clark, and their children; Leo's last surviving brother, Doug Curtis, his wife Roberta and their children; as well as dear friends of 39 plus years together, and wonderful care providers over these last few years.
Private arrangements are being handled through Northwood Park.
