Nancy Geraldine Nichols (Pearson) of Ridgefield WA, passed away on April 23, 2017 unexpectedly at the age of 75. Nancy was born in Norwood Park, IL on February 26, 1942 to Herman and Verona Pearson (Syverson).
Nancy was the beloved wife of Wesley Earl Nichols, married in Franklin Park, Illinois October 7th 1961. She was a loving mother of two children, Elizabeth Anne Nichols (Scott Ferguson) and John Pearson Nichols. Nancy was a warm, affectionate grandmother to Jeanette Virginie Nuxoll, Scott James Nuxoll, Sean Pearson Nichols, Andrew Moore Ferguson, and Ashley Joy McCaleb (Michael). She was able to enjoy her great grandchildren, Parker, Barrett, Finn, and Mirren through pictures, videos, Facebook and visits. Nancy is survived by her sisters Dolores Schlaack (Edward) and Judith Doyle, sister-in-law Lois Dalton, brother-in-law John Nichols (Julie) and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Nancy and Wes raised their family in Arlington Heights, Illinois, later moving to Prospect Heights, Illinois. They retired to Ridgefield, Washington last year. Nancy loved her garden and enjoyed spending her time tending to flowers and tomatoes. She was a member of the Prospect Heights "Garden Club" where she made life-long friendships lunching every Tuesday. Like her mom, she was a passionate Cubs fan and was thrilled, though surprised (as all life-long Cubs fans), when they won the World Series in 2016. Nancy was known for her quick, dry wit and enjoyed verbal sparing with her Cardinals fan son-in-law. She had many friends throughout her lifetime, enjoying social gatherings however big or small. She was loved for her generosity, her smile and the sparkle in her eyes.
