Maxine Dewitt

Maxine Dewitt, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with Jesus on Feb. 11, 2023. She passed away at her home with her family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell “Bud” DeWitt; a granddaughter, Nikki Lee West; five siblings; and her parents, Viola and Clyde Jaye.

Maxine loved Jesus with all her heart and served him all of her life. She will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, which includes a daughter, Brenda West; a grandson, James “Jimer” West; a granddaughter, Penny West; a great- grandson, Jalen West; a great- granddaughter, Kiana West; a great-great-grandson, Jaxton; and her much loved pups, Zoe and Bella.

A celebration of Maxine’s life is planned for noon Friday, Feb. 17 at Columbia Heights Assembly of God Church, 3609 Columbia Heights Road, in Longview. All are welcome to attend. A viewing is planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 and Thursday, Feb. 16 at Steele Chapel.
