John Roy Davis

Lifelong local resident John R. Davis, 78, of Vader, Wash., passed away Dec. 19, 2022, in Centralia, Wash.

He was born Dec. 22, 1943, in Longview, to Roy and Alti (Hopkins) Davis. John attended Kalama schools and worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic.

He married Patricia C. Anderson Aug. 23, 1973, in Kelso. John was a dedicated family man and would have given the shirt off his back for anyone. John was a member of both the Longview and Castle Rock Eagles. He loved karaoke and spending time with his family and dogs.

John is survived by four sons, Jason Davis, Glenn Davis, Johnny Davis and Ronnie Davis; two daughters, Robin Christensen and Chrissie Davis; and countless grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Davis on Jan. 20, 2015; and a son, Robbie J. Davis on June 12, 2007.

A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at Steele Chapel. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Longview Memorial Park.
