Janice Fossand

In Loving Memory of Janice Nadine Fossand 1941 - 2022
Janice Nadine Fossand loving wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, teacher and friend to all went to be with the Lord on August 3,
2022.
Janice was born on May 20, 1941, in Woodland, Washington. She found
the love of her life, Kermit Fossand when he became friends with her brother
Allen and moved in with her family. These Ridgefield High School sweethearts
were married June 16, 1962 and spent 59 blissful years together. Janice and
Kermit enjoyed just being together with friends and family raising their two
sons, Gregg and Eric.
Janice enjoyed spending time with friends and family, bragging about
her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going to casinos, putting together
puzzles and laughing everyday with Kermit.
Janice loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. With a teacher’s
heart she spent most of her working life in the classroom. She taught for 30+
years mostly in Ridgefield and she left a legacy and passion of learning to all
the students, families, teachers and community that she came in contact with.
Janice is survived by sons Gregg (Dawn) Fossand of Kimball, NE and Eric
(Margy) Fossand of Roy, WA, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Mountain View Christian Center, 2810
NE 259th Street, Ridgefield, WA 98642, at 1:00 on Saturday, August 13, 2022
