Gloria Lindholm Crang entered the Husky Stadium in the sky. She died peacefully at home with family from Alzheimer's in Ridgefield, WA on April 13th, 2018, at the age of 79. She was born on Oct. 3rd, 1938, in Portland, OR to Ralph and Ruth Lindholm of Portland, OR where she graduated from Grant High School in 1956.
She then attended and graduated from Pacific Lutheran College in Tacoma, WA, in 1960, with a degree in Education/Teaching.
While teaching in Seattle, Gloria met her first husband, Ralph NJ Morrison, who was attending the University of Washington. This was the time that Gloria was exposed to Husky Football, which became a lifelong passion of hers. She and Ralph had season tickets through the 70s and 80s, where they mastered in the art of Husky tailgating in Seattle. During college football off-seasons, the family would go to their beach cabin in Gleneden Beach, on the Oregon coast, albeit Gloria and Ralph divorced in 1984.
Gloria was generous with her time and volunteered hundreds of hours to various causes. She was also passionate about teaching and began working as a teacher's aide; she then graduated from Portland State University with a Master's degree in Special Education. It was during this time that Gloria met and married Richard Crang. Thanks to Gloria's early retirement, she and Dick were able to spend the last nine years of his life together.
Gloria is survived by her sons, Deane T. Morrison of Vancouver, WA and Douglas L. Morrison of Portland, OR; daughter, Jane M. Bonvillain of Ridgefield, WA; her granddaughters, Sondra, Annie, Emma and Ingrid; daughter-in-law, Antonia Morrison Garcia; and son-in-law, Troy A. Bonvillain.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, and her husband of 25 years, Richard Crang of Vancouver, WA, who passed away in November 2010.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Peace Health Hospice - Southwest Washington Medical. Their compassion, care, kindness, and bereavement services were and continue to be a blessing, not only to Gloria, but to the family as a whole.
