Delores "Dee" (Rapp) Hartshorn was born in Berwyn, Neb., on Sept. 6, 1935. Her family moved to the Pacific Northwest in the 1940's, eventually ending up in Longview.
She attended R.A. Long High School where she met her husband of 64 years, Howard "Skip" Hartshorn. Skip and Dee were married in 1953 and had three children together, Michael, Steven and Lisa.
After graduation they moved to Seattle for Skip's job and eventually returned to Longview in 1967 when they purchased into Amadon Forge & Machine Works. Delores worked for Weyerhaeuser until her retirement in 1982. Skip & Dee spent their retirement years traveling in their RV, golfing, snowmobiling, boating and fishing with their friends.
The most important thing in Dee's life was her family. She had a very close relationship with her three children, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Delores is survived by her son Steve and her daughter Lisa. She was preceded in her death by her husband "Skip", eldest son Mike and great-grandson Graham. Delores was an amazing woman loved by many and will be dearly missed.
