Longtime local resident David Michael Graham, 65, of Kelso passed away Jan. 14, 2022, in Longview.
He was born Aug. 5, 1956, in Ketchikan, Alaska. David’s family moved to Longview from Texas in 1967, and he graduated from R.A. Long High School. He changed his name to Graham at a young age and was married and divorced twice, to Jeanne (White) McKinney and Shelby (Horsley) Flanders.
David had a strong work ethic, and studied instrumentation, technology and welding at Lower Columbia College. He was a machine operator and millwright for Ross Simmons Hardwood Lumber from 1984 to 2001. He retired from Flexible Foam in 2014.
David was a member of a men’s club, and enjoyed playing and watching golf. He also enjoyed motorcycles and spending time with his family. David loved everybody. He was generous, a great listener, and gave a good pep talk. His faith provided a close relationship with God.
He is survived by two sons, Tyson Graham of Longview and Nicholas Graham of Kelso; eight grandchildren, Matthew Young, and Alina, Angela, Landon, Austin, Westen, Paisley, and Wyatt Graham; and five siblings.
David was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Biddle and Marie Theresa (Williams) Potts; a son, Jody Graham; a brother, Bob Martin; and a brother-in-law, Jim Fortenbury.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Steele Chapel. Hospice Chaplain David Johnson will officiate.
