Darlene Delight Friedrich

Darlene Delight Friedrich, 79, of Castle Rock passed away July 21, 2022, at the Cedar Garden Adult Family Home in Longview.

She was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Bellingham, Wash., to Nathan and Julia (Sullivan) Creemer. Darlene graduated from Napavine High School with the class of 1961. On June 29, 1962, she married Hugo Friedrich in the Centralia Lutheran Church.

Darlene was a sweet and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events, wrapping gifts at the Emporium during the holidays, and baking. Everyone loved her cookies.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hugo Friedrich at home; two sons, Daryl Friedrich of Longview and Robin Friedrich (Mariss) of Gilbert, Ariz.; a daughter, Cindy Reynolds (Kevin) of Longview; four grandchildren, Tyler and Alex Friedrich and Hailee and Colten Reynolds; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Julie Creemer; a brother, Edmond Creemer; and two sisters, Lucile “Joyce” Stokes and Gloria Raphael.

A graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Longview Memorial Park.
